My Story
​
Bkleen Car Wash has been in business for 20 years. Before getting involved in the car wash business my background was in aviation. Living in Miami, I was unable to find a full service car wash that did work to my satisfaction. That's why when the car wash here in Beverly Hills became available at auction, we decided that, if we were going to get into the car wash business, every vehicle would be done as if it were my own. That is our philosophy still to this day. Once we got into the business we continually do research to ensure that we always have the best equipment, chemicals and techniques available to preserve the condition of your vehicle for long term results. Simply put, if I would not do it to my vehicle, I certainly would not do it to yours. You can have confidence that we will always strive to not only meet your expectations, but to exceed them. Love Bugs
Love Bugs appear in May and September. The rain will greatly effect how long and how heavy the season is. Rain before the season and dry during the season makes for a long and heavy bug season. Heavy Rain will shorten the season and the number of bugs we see.
Love Bugs will melt your Clear Coat if left on too long. The condition of your clear coat as well as the color of your vehicle will determine the likelihood of possible time to remove before damage starts to occur. Dark vehicles get hotter so damage can occur sooner. Cars without a good hand wax have no protection, so damage will also occur sooner. The bugs high ph (acid level) will melt into the clear coat and leave an imprint that looks like the bug is still there. Then it is a Body shop repair. Be careful removing them so that you don't scratch your clear coat. Use only Micro Fiber Towels and car wash soap. Take your time, the trick is to re-hydrate the bug so that it comes off without scratching your vehicle. Sometimes you may have to work it a little at a time going from one area and then back giving the soap and water time to loosen the bug, Don't scrub too hard or you will damage the clear coat. Applying a quality Hand Wax is the best protection against bug damage and makes it easier to remove the bugs safely. I would also recommend applying Rain-X to the windshield to make it easier to remove the bugs there as well. Try to avoid using your wipers to clear the bugs as this will most likely just smear them and make visibility worse.
I would also caution against dryer sheets, they have fabric softener that will temporarily hide the scuffing and scratching they are causing to your clear coat until the fabric softener evaporates a week or so later.
